Cork - Roscoff

The crossing between Cork and Roscoff is the shortest and fastest ferry service linking Ireland with France. Sailings depart weekly (March - November), and since the arrival of the Pont-Aven sailing times have been reduced to just 14 hours, which set new standards on this already popular route.

The first sailing took place on the 27th May 1978 with the original Armorique with just 700 passengers and 160 cars on board. Initially the Tivoli ferryport in Cork was used before the new Ringaskiddy terminal opened in 1982.

In 2009 67,000 passengers travelled between Cork and Roscoff.
