Portsmouth - Cherbourg

Following the introduction of this route in 2004, Brittany Ferries upgraded the service with a new fast ferry during 2005 using the 'Normandie Express'. This fast service offers a daily return sailing with a crossing time of just 180 minutes. This is the fastest way to France from Portsmouth. 

In 2008 171,000 passengers travelled between Portsmouth and Cherbourg, and in 2009 189,000 passengers.
