mv Armorique's Winter Schedule

Brittany Ferries newest vessel is to spend the winter months laid up. Her final sailing of 2009 will be from Plymouth to Roscoff on the 6th November 2009. She will then sail to Le Havre with a group of dignitaries onboard having been chartered for the start of the 9th Transat Jacques Vabre yacht race on the 8th November.

Following the start of the race she sailed to Caen (Ouistreham) to unload her guests, arriving at 1900. This was her maiden arrival at the port, which permitted berthing trials to take place prior to her planned operation on the route in the new year. She sailed for Dunkerque at 2030, where she will be dry docked as part of her builders guarantee.

At the end of the November the Armorique will again be chartered, this time by the French Navy, for use in a maritime security exercise. It is expected that she will spend the winter laid up in Le Havre before retuning to service on the 6th March 2010 with the 1630 departure from Caen to Portsmouth.
