Martine Jourdren was yesterday named chairman of Brittany Ferries by the supervisory board of the shipping company. She replaces Jean-Michel Giguet which, according to a release from the Breton vompany, "wanted to give another direction to his career." The company further states that the Executive Board welcomes two new members: Christophe Mathieu, director of the division strategy and commercial, and Jacques Prigent, head of the pole "and port operations", former commander of Mont-Saint-Michel. Reportedly, David Longden, Managing Director for the United Kingdom, is no longer part of the Executive Board. The news was greeted with surprise by the staff who will be four different managers in twelve years. Jourdren Martine, 57, entered at the beginning of the company in 1973, is a specialist financial records.
