A Message From Mike Bevens

I would like to acknowledge and thank everyone for their comments, thoughts, ideas and passionate feelings towards Barfleur and the Poole-Cherbourg route. The response by the members on the BFE website, and from customers in general, has been remarkable and has certainly not been ignored by myself and colleagues at Brittany Ferries. The team have been working very hard to look at ways of reinstating Barfleur on a viable basis. There have been countless factors we have had to consider and reconsider with Barfleur and the Poole-Cherbourg route, including external issues beyond our control, such as currency and economic conditions. We will now have a better business mix of freight and passengers, beneficial schedules, as well as having the Cotentin operating to Spain twice a week to support the development of our Spanish services.

Thank you for your patience and support and we hope that you will encourage friends, family and colleagues to use Barfleur as we are very keen to see the service have a successful future.
