The Pont L'Abbé completed her final commercial sailing for Brittany Ferries on the 9th November 2008 between Plymouth and Roscoff. Following her arrival in Roscoff she proceeded to St Nazaire where she will be laid up, pending sale. (Read more.)

Despite the doom and gloom of every recent news bulletin, Brittany Ferries is upbeat about its exciting plans for next year. First and foremost is the introduction in February of a new luxury cruise-ferry, built specifically for the Plymouth-Roscoff route. Then in March a new weekly service from Portsmouth to Santander in northern Spain starts, with a crossing time of just 24 hours. (Read more.)

Yesterday Brittany Ferries' new luxury cruise-ferry, Armorique, was launched in Helsinki, Finland. She will be delivered in December, and then fitted out, before entering service in March 2009. (Read more.)

Art and Sun are the themes Brittany Ferries has chosen for this summer exhibition in Santander, 30 years after starting its first route to this Cantabrian port and 30 years after acquiring its first works of art. In association with the Port of Santander the exhibition, entitled l'Art est un voyage (art is a journey), will show a selection of 40 or so of the company's extensive collection of 1300 works of art.
