Onboard Dining

Brittany Ferries are well renowned for the quality of their onboard dining facilities. Whatever your taste buds desire, one of the many onboard outlets will be sure to cater for you. Every ship offers at least three dining options ranging from an informal restaurant, French Bistro, Self-Service restaurant or le Cafe, with other vessels offering their own unique dining experiences.

A la carte

This is the main dining area onboard and is easily comparable to that found in a high standard hotel with fine cuisine prepared by top French chefs. There are 2 dining options (plus a children's menu). The Buffet menu is by far the most popular. Here you have a starter from an outstanding buffet where prawns, langoustines, pate, salads, rice dishes, meats etc are all on offer - and you can help yourself to as much as you want. The main course is brought to your table and is from a choice of over 6 meat and fish dishes plus vegetarian options. The dessert is not to be missed, so leave room! Again it is from another buffet table which is packed with the most exquisite cakes, fruits and cheeses etc available, and you can have as much as you can eat!

The alternative menu removes the buffet option where you choose your starter and desert from a set menu which is brought to your table. Slightly more expensive but offers fabulous starters and desserts prepared by the chef, and offers the added advantage of not having to leave your seat - perfect for rough crossings!

Available onboard: Bretagne, Pont-Aven, Mont St Michel & Normandie.

Self Service

The self service restaurant is open throughout the crossing. Cold dishes, salads, fruit, snacks, desserts, and hot dishes at set times. Here French food combines with the British touch where fish and chips can typically be requested, in addition to Salmon in a cream sauce and a traditional entrecote steak and chips.

Available onboard: Armorique, Cap Finistère, Bretagne, Mont St Michel, Normandie & Pont-Aven.

le Cafe

Tea, coffee's, hot chocolate and soft drinks can be purchased at the cafe as well as a wide range of snacks and tempting pastries which you would expect to find in a French salon du the. Baguettes, pizzas, salads, and sandwiches are offered along with mouth-watering pastries, sweets and ice creams.

Available onboard: All ships.

le Comptoir des Saveurs

An informal cafe/restaurant onboard the Mont St Michel. An alternative menu to that found in the main restaurant offering exciting new tastes and textures. This restaurant won the 2002 'Most Significant Ferry Award' by 'Ship Pax':-

"Themed on France's romantic authors and their literature, Les Romantiques, is a remarkable and diverse dining experience with a sophisticated atmosphere. Its 20 seat 'table d'hotes' and 'comptoir des saveures' features quite literally gives an outstanding gastronomic first and last impression of France on the Channel crossing."

Available onboard: Mont St Michel.

la Piscine

Located beside 'les Finisteres' swimming pool onboard the Pont-Aven, the pool bar offers both drinks and snacks including fresh tapas dishes and sandwiches whilst relaxing in the sun alongside the swimming pool or on the adjoining outside teak decks. Fabulous in the sun!

Available onboard: Pont-Aven and Cap Finistère.
