Portsmouth - Cherbourg

Following the introduction of this route in 2004, Brittany Ferries upgraded the service with a new fast ferry during 2005 using the 'Normandie Express'. This fast service offers a daily return sailing with a crossing time of just 180 minutes. This is the fastest way to France from Portsmouth. 

New for 2010 is the introduction of the new mv Cap Finistere which will offer three cruise ferry sailings between Portsmouth and Cherbourg every week. Brittany Ferries additionally sail to Cherbourg from Poole 

In 2008 171,000 passengers travelled between Portsmouth and Cherbourg.
